Although it’s been out for a while, I felt compelled to write a small blog about it. It’s a very compact and versitile unit that has the ability to accept an Ipod (Classic, Nano or Touch) as long as you use the adapters to make up for the size change. It’s an AM/FM Stereo, has an auxiliary in, Sirius Satellite capable, Subwoofer level control just to name a few. It is also waterproof including the rear of the unit using the IPX5 Waterproof rating.
Pictured below is an iPOD nano and Classic side by side. The faceplate hinges downward to allow easy loading of the iPOD of your music listening choice. Make playlists in iTunes and tell the Fusion to play it. The fusion designates a mirror of the iPod’s music directory structure using it’s patented Fusion Alpha Search Technology (FAST) for ease of use and takes very little time <than 3 sec to load a song when just put in. After it’s already in, there is no difference to it than to listening directy to your iPOD with the exception you can specify zones in which the speakers are located in to sound off or remain silent. In other words, You can listen to your iPOD on the fly bridge and keep it muted down below in the cabin area just in case you have guests and don’t wish to disturb them. There is also an optional remote kit (wired) to further accommodate the functions of this audio suite. Not mention a DVD version and an external dock for the iPOD as well. Need more information? Go to the Fusion Website.
In the event you are at one of the boatshows (check our schedule) stop on in for a demonstration and pickup some literature.
